In general, the Civ V Steam Workshop is notoriously bad when it comes to installing mods reliably. If that fails or redownloading ALL your mods doesn't appeal to you , manual installation is your best bet. For more advanced troubleshooting of mods themselves, see here. Civ V does not officially support modded multiplayer, but there are some workarounds see below. However, I cannot guarantee that my mods work in MP and attempting to do so is at your own risk.

I have posted a reply on a similar discussion. The mods all crash during play even though they used to work. I have deleted the game and the sid meiers file then reinstalled the game but I still get the same response. I have got alot of mods subscribed dont know if that affects it other than that i have installed a couple windows updates so i am stuck on what else it could be.
THis may not be the answer but I had to do a windows clean install reinstalled civ 5 got it working.
