Thingiverse download all files not working

Could you provide a link to a model that is not working? Both wouldn't open in Blender. Both errors said "file format not supported" 18 Jan All files retrieved are user-generated, with the respective user and associated handling and management issues, and 3D printer selection. The model files were downloaded from thingiverse using a custom bash script. There are several different files used for 3D printing. If you choose to download a 3D model from Thingiverse you should find a model and On your computer find the file in the Downloads folder using File Explorer,.

If the features work correctly, you should make sure that the third party My laptop is not downloading internet files, whether they are games or files from a trusted website, or even Word documents sent to my email. I can start the download, but it never completes, and when I view what's being downloaded, the file will be on the list, but nothing is happening.

NET framework. Any version after that doesn't acknowledge that STL files exist!?! I've attempted a reinstall of multiple versions with folder removal. No luck. The cura log is too long for my free pastebin. I just had Cura installed on my work PC. It is hit or miss on loading. I get the same error as above. I have made some very simple geometry that has only a very low triangle count. Below is my log file for the last error. Anyone have any ideas?

Read the last line, it says what the problem is. Your file is too high resolution and Cura will not load it because of that. Reduce the number of triangles in your model by changing the export settings of your CAD software or using something like Meshmixer, Windows 3D Builder, Meshlab etc and it should work.

Searching for something like "decimating mesh" on google should get you in the right direction. I will see what i can do. Im using NX11 and we are locked down on what settings we can change. I found a couple settings that were open for modification. I reduced the setting down to default. Looks like its working for now. We'll see if I can break it again. I had this problem when ever I drag and drop from the thingiverse to the Cura software.

But when I click on the stl file and select download, it will then open the figure up in a new Cura project. I just an Ender3 upgraded pro , I ran the test dog print it went ok. I downloaded Freecad and made a simple circle or what looks like a puck. When I try to load the. Work are in Cura moves but no image.

What am I doing wrong? Maybe your object is so small that you cannot see it? I have this from time to time when loading STL files from someone else. When you say too small, you're referring to the image size and not the file size right? The image I was importing would or should have been 24mm diameter and 12mm tall. I guess that should have been big enough, maybe not.

When I get back to may printer at work right now I'll enlarge the object and see what happens. Yes, I am referring to the image size and even if you think it has or should be 24mm there could be a problem when exporting the object as STL and importing into Cura.

I have seen some STLs which have in Cura only 1mm or less and I was zooming in extremely to see the object. It depends on the CAD software you use or the designer has used. Sometimes they use different units inches, mm and then after export and import you get these very small objects in Cura. There is also an option in Cura to scale up very small object during the import, but it never worked for me.

You could also try to set the option in the preferences to "select the object after import" then you don't have to search for the object after import and you can go directly to the scale tool on the left and try what happens after you scale up it something bigger.

Aw ok. I did the the design in Freecad just to try it out, didn't even think about scaling at the time. Is there another platform like thingiverse around with a well working database and performant servers? Maybe it's time to switch over when nobody at thingiverse cares about such fundamental issues Work around Create a draft, just type 1 and add a category then check your design if you see the draft and upload the design and publish.

I read in a post, can't find it again, that you should add the sections "Post-Printing" and "How I Designed This" to your design upload even without filling them. I'm not sure if this works with designs that were already posted, but it worked for all my new ones. Same here It was my first design and it isn't shown in my profile or cannot be found by search. Hope it helps! Thanks for the tip! Added a post printing section Added a print setting section Added a tag Added a group.

I did not try and re-upload it with these options, but may try that later or with the next thing I upload. I had two Things out of 50 that were definitely on the site, but not in My Designs and not searchable. I was able to get one to show up by reposting it. For the other one, the repost didn't show up either. The problem persists.

I suggest trying to post again for now. And same here. Tech issues on this site seem to get worse each year. Maybe it's time to move on But the last two designs see below are not visible on dashboard visible in iOS app dashboard though!?

The only way to find them is if I give you a direct link or you search for it using google search! I've sent the link to another people and they can download and see the thing but it does not appear in my designs. Same problem. Now I have posted 42 items but only show 2 pages, 40 items. Really hope they fix it soon. This may not help, entirely, but, if you click your profile avatar on the upper right, then click 'View Profile', then click 'View Analytics' on the left side beneath your avatar photo, you'll see a graph.

Scroll down, and you should see all the 'things' you've made. However, in my case, it says I have 9 designs, but only 8 display on that page. I may have deleted one, but, shouldn't it indicate 8, not 9?

Worse, when I click "My Designs," it only shows 7 of them! Database error on Thingiverse's part? I ended up here after googling the problem because I also have it. Is there any fix for this? It shows a link to my profile and can be seen in the analytics but is completely missing from my profile. Identical issue to yours. I put in 4 today, but, only see 3. Using analytics is the only way to see the 4th. Weird, your post is in and it's and clearly still an issue. Any fix? All my stuff is back today.

Prior all my stuff before around Feb 15th was "gone" from my stuff, but none were actually deleted - just missing in my profile. Also my collections are all back everything except for things to make was gone. A bunch of my designs are missing too. Nothing newer than November 28 is listed. I can still see them in my dashboard by clicking on a like or make but cannot find them in a search by item name or my user name.

This is still a problem two years later! I've got three designs but my profile only shows two. Same issue here.
